28 April 2014, Vilnius. Invalda Privatus Kapitalas AB signed an agreement with Invalda LT AB for acquiring a 45.4 percent stake of Vilniaus Baldai AB shares. When the acquisition is complete, the Vilniaus Baldai AB owned 40.6 percent stake will be increased to 86 percent of shares. With the next transaction, Invalda Privatus Kapitalas AB sells Invalda LT AB a stake of 45.4 percent Cedus Invest UAB shares, owning 36 percent Litagra UAB group. Details of the agreement remain disclosed according to the agreement.

"Decision to acquire the Vilniaus Baldai AB shares was based on considerable business growth, pro-export oriented activity, and the stable situation of the company" — says Dalius Kaziunas, Director of Invalda Privatus Kapitalas. According to him, a significant part of company's technical equipment was renewed during the last couple of years with 40 million litas investment. Invalda Privatus Kapitalas AB plans to retain the human resources’ and investment policies of Vilniaus Baldai AB and to proceed the collaboration with its single purchaser, the Swedish concern IKEA" — says D. Kaziunas.

Vilniaus Baldai AB is the leading carcass furniture producer in Lithuania, established in 1883. The company sells almost all its production to the Swedish concern IKEA.
